Kotoko coach delighted to be on top in New Year

Coach Maxwell Konadu is delighted to have led Asante Kotoko to the top of the Premier League at the end of the year.

The Porcupine Warriors though have endured a woeful run away from their favoured Baba Yara Stadium are still in pole position – and are currently a point better off than closest contender All Stars.

With three games left to play to the end of the first round upon the league’s resumption on January 7, Konadu is confident his side can hold off all challenges to eventually win the title.

“Of course I am happy that we will be the league leaders by the end of this year,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“It has been a very tough journey so far but I believe with the same or even better attitude, the title will be ours at the end of the campaign.

Kotoko takes on Aduana Stars when the league the following day the league resumes after a two-week break.

They will then travel to Liberty Professionals in a midweek fixture before rounding up the first round with a home tie against Medeama SC.
