Kotoko coach Draman backs misfiring striker Acheampong

Kotoko coach Mas-ud Draman has backed Ben Acheampong to rediscover the form that made him a feared Premier League marksman.

The 22-year-old plundered 9 league goals last season last term but this season the goals have not flowed as easily for the striker.

The former Ghana Under-23 goal poacher scored his first goal for the Porcupine Warriors in their 2-1 win at Tema Youth last Sunday.

The Asante Kotoko trainer has given shot-shy striker a licence to start killing teams after he ended his goal match drought at the Tema sports stadium.

“Ben has been instrumental in our game plan. I have ben working with him regarding plans for matches,” Draman said

“I don’t think there should be any source of worry. He is playing as a team member and I believe when he get the chance to score, he will score.”

Kotoko will host New Edubiase at home on Wednesday.
