Kotoko coach Draman pleased with King Faisal draw

Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Draman has praised the performance of his side despite their 1-1 draw against King Faisal in the big Kumasi derby.

Kofi Nti Boakye scored the opener from a spot-kick rebound before their city rivals pulled level with 20 minutes left.

Both sides displayed fine performances on the pitch but it was Kotoko who failed to make their numerous goal-scoring chances count.

Draman has come under pressure from a section of their fans following the side’s not-too impressive performances on the pitch.

But the former Ghana Uner-17 female national team coach says he was happy with the output of his side.

“It was a local derby and therefore expected to be very tough so I am content with the draw.”Draman said

“I believe Kotoko is a work in progress and so the fans should be patient. We’re not playing badly.

“It’s a matter of time before we start making all the points count. We’ll continue to work hard and ensure that we defend our league title.”

Kotoko will travel to Accra to face Liberty Professionals on January 5.
