Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says he is closely monitoring the performance of all players on loan.

The defending Ghana Premier League champions have as many as nine highly rated players on loan at Premiership clubs.

Amidaus Professionals have three young Porcupines on loan in Bismark Kwarteng, Felix Yeboah and Sidiq Alhassan.

Striker Michael Mensah joined Wa All Stars for the second half of the season, Goalkeeper Goerge Arthur and midfielder Kwadwo Poku are at Heart of Lions.

Also, defender Kingsley Nteng is at Ebusua Dwarfs, Goalkeeper Felix Annan is at RTU whilst centre-back Stephen Asamoah is at Bechem United.

“I personally call the players and talk to their coaches. I also visit their training whenever I am around where they are. I was in Tema the last time and I visited Amidaus’ training. We are still hoping that they will be able to keep the mark to attract to Kotoko,” Dramani said at a press conference.

“We thought keeping them alone in Kotoko will not help because as young as they are, they needed experience and you get that when playing regularly.

“We gave out George Arthur to All Stars and, yesterday I spoke with him, unfortunately he has not had a lot of playing time. And, we realize that the reason for which he went there has not been achieved.

“Kwadwo Poku had a good preseason with us. He went to Lions, on the request of Yusuf Abubakar. He is playing regularly and is very instrumental in the quest for Lions.

“We gave Felix Annan to RTU and he qualified the team to the middle league play-offs. I think without him the team would not have been able to qualify and we are still talking with him.

“Bismark Kwarteng, Sidiq Alhassan and Richard Yeboah are with Amidaus. Sidiq Alhassan and Richard Yeboah have been very regular. Unfortunately, Bismark Kwarteng has not had enough playing time.

“I gave those players out to coaches I know could continue from where I reached. We just don’t give them out like that.

“Kotoko has a package for the players in the MTN sponsorship where call credits are given out to the players.

“These players who are on loan get their quota of the call credit and other incentives so they will know that Kotoko still thinks about them.”

Kotoko are on top of the Ghana Premier League with a ten-point advantage.
