Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani in a shocking revelation instructed striker Seidu Bancey to attract a booking in order to get suspended in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old is set to serve a mandatory one-match suspension after receiving a yellow card – culminating into three cautions - in Kotoko’s 1-0 defeat at Liberty Professionals last week.

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani has however revealed Bancey’s yellow card was deliberate in order to get him suspended so he can rest his tired limbs.

“Seidu Bancey is serving three yellow cards and even with that one it is technical. I instructed him to get booked so he can get a long overdue rest,” Dramani revealed to Metro FM.

“This is to rest his limbs so that he can return to help us for the remainder of the games in the Premier League. It is all part of football.”

It is unclear if Dramani’s chilling revelations will attract sanctions from the Ghana FA as it serve the basis for which cautions in for future Premier League matches can be compromised.
