Kotoko coach Zdravko Lugarusic demands more goals from his strikers

Zdravko Lugarusic has demanded more goals from Asante Kotoko strikers, with the coach pointing to a lack of potency as key factor in their low scoring rate in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Yakubu Mohammed is the top scorer with four but the striker has been poorly supported. Emmanuel Gyamfi, Sarfo Gyamfi and Michael Akuffu have managed to add one apiece.

The Porcupine Warriors will host Inter Allies on Sunday having scored only 7 goals in 8 eight league games but Lugarusic want his attackers to be clinical upfront.

“Defensively I am ok but i need a bit of more experience on the front who can help Yakubu.”

“But at the moment they are not giving the level of the play Kotoko need”

“We are talking about the quality which people will see and applaud and say ooh what as player that is the key thing”

“Someone who will decide the nature of the game by putting balls at the back of the net when the game is very tough, “he told reporters

Kotoko are joint league leaders with Aduana Stars on top with superior goal margin.
