Kotoko Communications Manager rubbishes Togo training tour reports

Communication Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kwaku Ahenkorah has rubbished reports suggesting that his outfit will be pitching camp in Togo ahead of the 2015/16 Premier League season.

Reports in the media had claimed that the Porcupine Warriors will be travelling to neighbours Togo for a training tour as part of Preparation for the league.

The Ghana Premier League which was tentatively scheduled to come off on the 20th December would not see light of day due to an internal legal tussle between the clubs.

Clubs are fishing for alternatives as the league has not positive sign of commencing on the said date.

But the Communication Manager of the Porcupine Warriors, Kwaku Ahenkorah says irrespective of the fact that the clubs are putting their preparation together, there is no iota of truth in their travel to Togo.

“It is not true. I can only say that it is a figment of someone’s imagination. Asante Kotoko have no intention of going to Togo for any training tour. If they is any such news, we will let it out,” Kwaku Ahenkorah said.

The Porcupine Warriors went for a training tour in the Togolese capital of Lome last season where they played Samase Club and AS Police of Togo.
