Kotoko have confirmed the signing of three players to boost the squad with four expected to join the Porcupines Warriors before the start of the season.

The management has confirmed the signing of two new players – former Medeama forward, Richard Oti and former Amidaus Professionals goalkeeper, Ofori Antwi for three years each.

Former Wa All Stars’ central defender, Akwasi Acheampong also joins the former African champions on a three-year deal.

This means Kotoko will parade seven new players at the start of the season with knots still being tied on the contracts of the remaining four players.

Acting General Manager, Opoku Nti  further revealed that four more new players were on their way to the fabulous club.

“Just like the former Wa All Stars defender, Akwasi Acheampong these are confirmed signings. We are tying knots on four other players. As soon as we are done, you will be given the green light for publication” said Opoku Nti.

Oti, before joining his team-mates at training, expressed his delight to be part of Asante Kotoko following his move from Medeama.

“I am happy be to here. All I can say is I am here to do my best for the club” said Richard.

Apart from Medeama, Richard has played two Premier clubs in Ghana and one club in Niger. His career started at Evergreen Stars, Adenta before he proceeded to Koftown Youth in Koforidua.

From there, he was signed by Liberty Professionals and later by Sahel FC of Niger from where he went to arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak before ending at Medeama.

With the exception of Hearts of Oak where he spent half a season, Richard Oti played for one season at all the clubs mentioned.
