Ex-Ghana international Augustine Ahinful is being considered for a coaching role at Asante Kotoko.

A member of Kotoko's committee for next year's campaign in Africa Alhaji Lamine claims Ahinful could join the club as an assistant coach.

Ahinful-who retired in 2008-could join ex-Kotoko striker Michael Osei as assistant coaches to Mas-ud Didi Dramani.

"If am handed the job, why not? I will accept the offer," the former Ankaragucu striker told MTNFootball.com

"But for now, I have not heard anything from the club or held discussions with anybody in management.

"Some of us are around to impact our knowledge to the upcoming ones because of experience abroad.

Ahinful was Ghana Premier League top-scorer for the 1992/1993 season with Goldfield Obuasi.
