Kotoko continue chain of draws at Aduana

Posted On Wednesday, 24th October 2012

Asante Kotoko drew their fourth consecutive game of the season after being held 0-0 by Aduana Stars at the Dormaa Park on Wednesday.

The champions are now facing possibly their worst start to a Premier League campaign as they are still in search of that first elusive win.

Aduana dominated most of the play but were unable to utilize most of the goal scoring opportunities created before a packed crowd at the Agyemang Badu Park.

Kotoko on the other hand looked far from the form that saw them claim their 21st Premier League crown at the end of the last campaign.

Haven made several signings to mainly boost their forward lines during the off-season, it was expected the Porcupine Warriors will let rain the goals this season.

In contrast, Kotoko appear clueless whenever in the final third of their opponent with the striking combination of Kofi Nti-Boakye and Ransford Osei found incredibly wanting.

Kotoko seem to be struggling without the incisive passes of Daniel Nii Adjei and the surging runs and quality crosses from Yaw Frimpong.

The duo are in the process of being sold to DR Congo giants TP Mazembe.

The Reds however need to find ways of getting the wins and very quick to ease the mounting pressure from their supporters on the club’s management and technical team headed by Premier League rookie Mas-Ud Dramani.

  1. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

    QUALITY OF PREMIER LEAGUE
I HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE AND WILL SAY IT AGAIN. NYANTAKYI NEEDS TO DO SMTHING ABOUT THE PLAYER EXODUS WE R HAVING IN GH. IT IS GETTING OUT OF HAND
. CLEARLY, CLUBS LIKE KOTOKO, HEARTS, ASHGOLD, NEW EDUBIASE CANT COMPETE MONEYWISE WITH OTHER CLUBS IN AFRICA. THIS ALONE PUTS GH CLUBS AT A
DISADVANTAGE. ANYOE WHO THINKS KOTOKO HAVE THE TALENT TO GO TO EVEN THE SEMIS IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE IS BRAIN DEAD. KOTOKO HAS SOLD MOST OF
THEIR TOP PLAYERS. THESE ARE PLAYERS THE CLUB NEEDS TO MAKE NOISE IN AFRICA. PLAYERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE AND HAVE PLAYED TOGETHER FOR A WHILE.
GFA MUST INSTITUTE A 3 YR LEAGUE MINIMUM BEFORE ANY PLAYER IS ELIGIBLE TO BE SOLD OUTSIDE GH. IT WILL ENSURE THAT THESE GH PLAYERS ARE MATURE
BEFORE THEY R SOLD. IT WILL ALSO PROVIDE QUALITY PLAYERS FOR OUR LEAGUE, WHICH WILL MAKE IT MORE EXCITING AND COMPETITIVE. PLUS CLUBS WILL HAVE
ACCESS TO THEIR PLAYERS FOR LEAGUE TITLES, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHIES. IF GFA FAILS TO DO SO, NO GH CLUB WILL PUT ITSELF IN A HEALTHY POSITION
TO WIN ANYTHING IN AFRICA. I MEAN, HOW DO U COMPETE WITH CLUBS IN S AFRICA, CONGO, EGYPT WHEN THEY R BUYING YOUR BEST PLAYERS? THINK!
