Asante Kotoko defender Abeiku Ainooson says he is bent on improving his personal form following a below par start to the season.

The former New Edubiase defender was crowned the best defender in last season’s Ghana Premier League.

He was also named the MVP and best defender of the 203/2014 MTN FA Cup.

But the former CHAN star has been a shadow of himself and been average in the club's struggling campaign.

‘’We all in Kotoko have to up our game our start has not been as it should have been,” Ainooson told GHANASoccernet.com.

“On the personal note I am working to getting my body up to the level I want and know is best for the team.

Kotoko are 13th on the league table with from nine games.
