Kotoko defender Frimpong hopes to improve

Asante Kotoko defender Amos Frimpong hopes to follow in the footsteps of Yaw Frimpong.

The former BA Stars captain has been the preferred choice at the right back with Yaw Frimpong believed to be on his way out of the club.

The player says he wants to do great things for the Porcupine Warriors and feels that in order for him to live up to his expectations, he is going to have to replicate the performances  and contributions of his colleague last season.

He played a pivotal role at the back for the champions when they were held at home by rivals Hearts last Sunday and confident he can only improve.

“My performance has improved looking at my previous matches. My confidence level was high as well as my passes and recovery” Frimpong said

“I only have to continue doing what I have been doing. I have to be training hard. I have to show more confidence.

I have to play more, maintain or improve on everything I do after every match.”
