Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila admits the continuous delayed start of the Ghana Premier League is beginning to cause him sleepless night.
Sumaila, a member of Ghanaââ¬â¢s World Cup squad, is yet to play competitive football in more than six months.
The 22-year-old failed to land purported move abroad and was left out of Sundown squad for the season.
The centre-back returned to Ghana Premier League to remain active but he is yet to kick a ball competitively.
ââ¬ÅThe state of the league is really beginning to toll on all of us as players,â⬠Sumaila told GHANASoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅEvery passing day brings uncertainty and itââ¬â¢s really worrying.
ââ¬ÅIf you look at my situation, I came down because I wanted to be involved actively but unfortunately it hasnââ¬â¢t come out the way I predicted.
ââ¬ÅI pray the leaders are able to find a solution for it.ââ¬
Sumaila has lost is position at the national side due to club inactivity and will be desperate to get some playing time to stake a claim.
