Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Opoku Nti entreat perennial rivals Hearts of Oak to form the guard of honour for them during Sunday’s penultimate league match.

The Porcupine Warriors won the 2013/2014 First Capital Plus League with two matches remaining following Wednesday’s 2-1 win at New Edubiase.

Some Hearts supporters are kicking against the idea by their players to perform the ceremonial event practice.

“It is normal that they do the guard of honour,” Nti told Ash FM. "If they decide not to do it, it would mean they don't understand football.

“It would surprise me if they fail to do the guard of honour. Do unto others as you would want them to do for you.”

Kotoko host Hearts at the Baba Yara Stadium on 1 June having won the responding fixture 1-0 in Accra.
