Asante Kotoko are still seething over their disallowed goal in the defeat to Medeama in the finals of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.

Richard Mpong seems to have scored a perfect goal which would have drawn the then defending champions level as they were 2-1 down at the time.

But referee Joseph Lamptey aided by his assistant A.S Malik spotted a non-existent foul on goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe to disallow the goal.

Kotoko were eventually unable to pull even and ultimately lost out on defending the trophy they won last season.

Medeama on the other hand succeeded in beating Kotoko once more again in the final of the MTN FA Cup while picking up the giant trophy and the mouthwatering GHS 40,000 cash prize plus qualification to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

The defeat left Kotoko officials and players red-faced especially with the decisions to disallow a perfect goal.

"I can give you a chronology of events from the Hearts game, Inter Allies game and now against Medeama," Kotoko spokesman Kweku Ahenkorah fumed.

"Why would referees keep dragging the name of Ghana football in the mud?

"This is comical referring . They are comical.

"Let referee Lamptey and his assistant A.S Malik know that they are just comical. Let them know."
