Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan blames players for Lugarusic's untimely sacking

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan says the playing body contributed to the untimely sacking of Zdravko Lugarusic.

The 55-year-old was relieved off his duty as head coach of the club just three months into his two-year deal following a turn of poor results.

But the shot-stopper believes he and his teammates could have done more to save the Croatian tactician.

“I think I and my colleagues have to be blamed for our recent poor run of form which has contributed to the sacking of coach Zdravko Lugarusic because our output of late is below the belt so it is not coach Lugarusic who contributed to our abysmal performance,” Annan told reporters.

Frimpong Manso, who was appointed to assist Godwin Ablordy till the end of the first round after Lugarusic's dismissal is expected to be on the bench when they play as guests to Wa All Stars in week 12 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
