Hearts of Oak could end up losing Ivorian hit-man Ahmed Simba Toure if they fail to tie him to a deal by Monday, GHANAsoccernet.com has learnt.

The Phobians have featured the 26-year-old in two of their Top-Four games but have failed to get him to put pen on paper since his arrival.

Toure has suddenly dominated the Ghanaian transfer market after scoring once and assisting a goal in his two-game spell with Hearts during the off-season GHALCA Top-Four tournament.

His status has put Kotoko and Heart of Lions on the alert as they are ready to gazump Hearts with better offers.

Hearts are still on the negotiating table with the player's representative as they seek to lower his $350,000 astronomical demands.

But reports in the local media suggests Heart of Lions, whom a striker scored against in the GHALCA Top-Four game, are ready to price him away with a $400,000 offer while Kotoko want to beat Hearts' offer with a slightly higher price but not equal to Lions' reported bid.

Accra-based radio station Asempa FM reported on Friday night that Hearts of Oak's bankroller Togbe Afede XIV has release funding for the deal but Hearts' handlers of the deal are keen to make business gains out of the move by negotiating for a lower deal, a claim GHANAsoccernet.com cannot independently confirm.

Kotoko fans have sworn on their management to ensure the striker never joins their 'bitterest rivals' though the player has promised his commitment to Hearts.
