Kotoko insist winger Kwame Boahene is injured amid fans agitation

Asante Kotoko claim winger Kwame Boahene is nursing an injury.

The intelligent wideman is yet to hit the ground running since he joined the Porcupine Warriors from Medeama.

Many Kotoko fans are unhappy with the decision of coach Zdravko Logarusic to leave him out of recent matches.

But the club has moved quickly to dispel the claims insisting he's not fit.

"He played the entire 90 minutes of our first two matches. He has since been out of the remaining matches due to injury. The medical team has been working around the clock to get him back to fitness as we also pray for God’s healing grace for him and all other injured players," a statement on the club's website read

Boahene was the most fouled player in the Ghanaian top-flight with Medeama last season where he excelled.

But he appears not to be in the good books of the Croat, leading to several widespread suspicions.
