Asante Kotoko interim head coach Michael Osei admits his side need re-reinforcements after suffering elimination in the G6 tournament.

The Porcupine Warriors lost 6-5 on penalties to fiercest rivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The game ended 1-1 in regulation time with Vincent Atinga and Amos Frimpong scoring from the spot for Hearts and Kotoko respectively.

"I will definitely add few more players to the squad because I still have to strengthen some of the departments," Osei said in a post match interview.

"Already I have Isaac Quansah, Prince Acquah and Conney Doan so I'm waiting for one or two players in addition.

''They will definitely come before or during the new season."

Kotoko have put in offers for Techiman City's Baba Mahama, Gideon Waja of West African Football Academy and Medeama SC playmaker Kwame Boahene.

They are yet to confirm any new signing even though former Bechem United left back Felix Kwakye and three foreigners Jean Kone Marcelin, Alexander Kouame Kouassi and Allen Tanol have been training with the team.
