Moro Abubakar could join Kotoko

Kotoko are ready to break bank for ex-Hearts captain Moro Abubakar with a staggering $20,000 reported to have been offered.

The Porcupine Warriors are determined to steal the march off their arch-rivals in the transfer window for the second time with a much improved offer as compared to their rivals.

Abubakar is reluctant to sign a fresh deal with Hearts despite declaring his intention to stay with the club.

He is now a free agent and can sign for the club with the best offer and looks Kotoko have presented the most suited offer for his signature, media reports in Ghana have claimed.

The Ghanaian champions are ready to splash GH?70,000  (equivalent to $ 20,000) for the services of the influential midfielder.

“Yes, Kotoko has expressed their interest to sign Moro Abubakar. I can tell you on authority that they have made a better offer than what Hearts of Oak and Ashgold offered,” a source close to the player is reported by sportscrusader.com

“We are yet to discuss in details what more Kotoko intends to offer because the player wants to put all transfer issues to rest as early as possible so he will concentrate on his career.”

Kotoko won the battle to sign Amidaus Professionals goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi after he agreed a three-year deal with the club.

Kotoko coach Mas –Ud Dramani is a key admirer of the combative midfielder and has marked him as his number one target this season.

The club want beef up their squad ahead of the involvement in the  CAF Champions League next year.
