Kotoko have confirmed midfield dynamo Michael Akuffo is down with a ‘bout’ of malaria.
The 29-year-old has been absent from the team’s recent poor displays in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Akuffo missed Kotoko’s 3-1 drubbing at Liberty Professionals but assistant coach Michael Osei has revealed the intelligent midfielder has a ‘bout’ of malaria’.
“Michael is down with malaria. Since the Local Black Stars came back from the COSAFA Cup, he has not been well.â€
The Porcupine Warriors could still be without their influential talisman ahead of their FA Cup clash against Ashantigold.
