Asante Kotoko midfielder Larbi Koomson is confident of making a quick recovery having undergone successful surgery.
The 24-year-old was operated upon after sustaining a serious knee injury while in training with the Ghanaian champions.
Koomson is initially feared to be eight weeks out as he starts his long journey to full fitness.
But the former Medeama SC man believes he will make a quicker than expected recovery from his latest injury setback.
ââ¬ÅI had a successful surgery and everything is fine now,â⬠he told Accra-based Starr Fm.
ââ¬ÅBefore you get back to the field you have to pass through some process and after surgery you have to go through rehabilitation.
ââ¬ÅSo am still on it and the rehab is still on course, so I pray that the good lord heals me fast and I get back to the field as soon as possible.
ââ¬ÅThe doctor did not say anything like I will be out for eight months or something.
ââ¬ÅHe did not say that to me but all I know is after the surgery you have to go through some process and after you comeback to play.
ââ¬ÅBut he did not say that I will be out for eight months or six months or something.ââ¬
