Kotoko financier Dr Kwaku Frimpong has launched a stinging pot-shot at David Duncan, claiming he's not a 'world-class' coach as the battle to appoint Danish Thomas Moller Nielson rages on.

Dr Frimpong, who owns the famous Champion Divine Clinic, has been leading a crusade to get the European appointed as the club's technical director following their poor run this season.

The financier has promised to pay the bills of the former Rangers player who watched the side's 3-1 defeat to regional rivals Ashantigold in the Otumfuo Cup last Sunday.

Kotoko officials have denied knowledge of their involvement in the brewing episode with Dr Frimpong insisting key officials are aware of the new arrangement.

He claims David Duncan lacks the pedigree to lead the team to success insisting the Danish is a world-class coach who holds the magic wand to turn their fortunes around.

"I have brought them a coach but they say they don't want him. I am waiting for Nana (Otumfuo) himself to talk," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I brought a top class coach from my personal funding. I told them I will pay him and take care of all his expenses but they say they don't want."

"My brother we want good things for the club. Now everyone is laughing at us because we performed poorly in the league. So we need to go high-tech for a top class coach to handle the club for us."

Kotoko have been in self-denial since Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com broke the story on Tuesday.

Current General Manager Samuel Opoku Nti has been sacked despite insisting he's still at post amid a poor campaign which has been characterized shambolic,  embarrassing and directionless of the Ghanaian powerhouse.
