Asante Kotoko new signing Kwabena Adusei has praised the club for their stringent medical examination.

For the first time in his professional career, he underwent a medical before his transfer was ratified.

Adusei, who played for Medeama Sporting Club last term, has played for three Premier League clubs.

''This is also the first time I have seen a team conduct physical fitness tests on players to be signed," he told the club's official newspaper.

''I have so far played for three Ghanaian clubs (Tema Youth, Kessben FC and Medeama), and this is the first time I have seen or heard of a Ghanaian club organizing proper medicals on her players.

''As footballers it is always important to know your health status. So having been checked and cleared fit, it gives me a sort of psychological boost and I am sure it will definitely impact positively on my performance for Kotoko."

Adusei scored seven goals for Medeama as a centre-back last season.
