Kotoko report striker Yahaya Mohammed to Ghana FA over Al Ittihad move
Yahaya Mohammed has joined Ittihad Tripoli

Asante Kotoko have launched disciplinary action against star forward Yahaya Mohammed for joining Libyan club Al Ittihad without their consent.

The 25-year-old travelled to the North African country to seal his move to the Tripoli-based despite having an existing contract with the Ghanaian champions which ends at the end of the season.

Mohammed has however incurred the wrath of Kotoko officials and supporters for not obtaining their consent before making the move.

The Ghanaian champions have now officially reported their striker to the Ghana FA’s Status Committee for redress.

Both Yahaya Mohammed and Al-Ittihad could attract hefty fines and other punishments if they are found to have infringed on transfer regulations.
