Daniel Nii Adjei wants to join TP Mazembe
By Patrick Akoto
Kotoko are struggling to hold onto midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei after TP Mazembe slapped in a bid to sign him.
The four-time African champions have tabled a mouth-watering offer for the influential enforcer after he impressed heavily for the Porcupine Warriors last season.
Kotoko are yet to accept the proposal but reports emerging from Kumasi indicate that the player is desirous of jumping to the offer.
It is unclear if the Ghanaian champions will allow their prize asset to go, with just days for the start of the new soccer season and their participation in next year’s Caf Champions League.
But the Congolese giants are hoping they could entice the former Power FC player as they hope to quadruple his wages.
Adjei, who recently signed a two-year contract extension at the club has also been linked with clubs in Tunisia, Ukraine and the gulf.
Mazembe has also tabled $200,000 offer to sign defender Yaw Frimpong.
TP wants to be smart, they want to cash in on these players now before they play in the champions league becuase they know the value of the players would go up after that but please an advice to both Kotok and the players, the emmanuel clottey example is so fresh for all of us. To the players i want them to know that they are really very good materials on the african continent, all they need to do is to work very hard coming season and they would attract the best deals ever, if by thier performance in last seasons league they are attracting quadrippling salaries and 200K signing on fees then they should just imagine if the put in extra work at the big CL stage then they will be hitting the million dollar mark. As said the clottey example is there to see. To Kotoko management, this should mortivate them that they are on the right track and can therefore compete very well on the continent becuase if the CL semi fanalist is chasing your players then that means the minimum target they will have to set for themselves is the semi fanals of next years CL. Ayekoo to Kotoko Management and the players BUT PLEASE dont sell these players NOW just wait a while and we will make the million dollars, PATIENCE is the word.
Management should not allow any player to move to any club as we are about to start the league. We want to conquer Africa this season and beyond.
QUALITY OF PREMIER LEAGUE
GFA NEEDS TO PUT CERTAIN RESTRICTION IN PLACE TO KEEP THE TALENT IN GH. OTHERWISE, THEY WILL ALL LEAVE AS SOON AS THEY R HOT.
THIS WILL DILUTE THE QUALITY OF OUR LEAGUE. HOW CAN A GH CLUB EQUAL THE SUCCESS OF CLUBS IN EGYPT OR S AFRICA IF ALL OUR PLAYERS ARE LEAVING GH EARLY?
ALL LOCAL PLAYERS MUST PLAY A MIN OF 3 YRS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE BEFORE THEY R ELIGIBLE TO BE SOLD TO A FOREIGN CLUB. EVERY LOCAL CLUB MUST
ALSO HAVE A QUOTA/ALLOWED 3 FOREIGN PLAYERS IN THEIR TEAM.
ANOTHER WAY NYANTAKYI HAS FAILED. WE HAVE MUSHROOM CLUBS SPRINGING UP FROM ANYWHERE. WHY DO WE HAVE 2 CLUBS IN BRONG AHAFO?
GFA MUST LOOK AT POPULATION, COMPETITION, INFRATSRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT, LOCAL ECONOMY ETC
BEFORE GRANTING OWNERS A LICENSE OR ACCESS TO STARTING A SOCCER CLUB OTHERWISE THEY WILL SUFFER BCOS OF A LACK OF A FAN BASE.
THE FIFA CLUB LICENSING SYSTEM was approved at the FIFA Congress in Munich in 2006 and since then FIFA has asked national associations to reform.
WE ARE NOW IN 2012, AND IT IS NOW THAT NYANTAKYI WANTS TO IMPLEMENT THIS IN GH. CLUBS IN PREMIER, AND DIV MUST BE
TASKED WITH PROVIDING PLAYER HEALTH INSURANCE AS THEY DO OVERSEAS, OTHERWISE GH SOCCER
WILL CONTINUE TO WADE N WALLOW IN MEDIOCRITY AND THE HEALTH OF THE PLAYERS WILL SUFFER.
