Former goal-king Alex Asamoah of Kotoko has once again failed to grab a professional deal abroad after Egyptian club Ismaili rejected him.

The Kotoko striker failed to impress officials of Ismaili of Egypt, where he underwent some short justifiers.

This comes few days after he rejected an offer from cash-strapped rivals Zamalek before opting to train with Ismaili.

The former Ashantigold FC attacker recently went for some trials in Asia but could not get a deal.

Kotoko’s International Relations Officer, Kwame Baah Nuako, who made the disclosure said Asamoah would arrive in Ghana on Wednesday. Whilst in Egypt, he noted, Asamoah did some medicals and played in a friendly game for Ismaili.

Mr. Nuako said talks for a possible deal however fell through at the last minute.

According to him, several leading clubs in Algeria , China and Qatar have lined up for Asamoah’s signature.

Mr. Nuako was hopeful the player would grab a professional deal before the January transfer window closes.
