Kotoko striker Bancey likely to partner Boateng upfront against Ethiopia

Kotoko striker Seidu Bancey could start against Ethiopia on Tuesday after duo Yahaya Mohammed and Sulley Mohammed were ruled out.

Yahaya is suspended for the clash after picking up accumulated yellow card while Sulley has failed to recover after picking a knock during the 1-1 draw against Libya last Friday.

The absence of the two strikers means the Asante Kotoko striker could be drafted in to partner Kennedy Boateng in front of goal.

The Black Stars are desperate to top the group and stay in Bloemfontein for their quarter-final clash.

The Ghanaians will take on rock-bottom Ethiopia in the last group C game on Tuesday keen to win by a higher scoreline to leapfrog Libya at the top.

The Libyans will tackle Congo in the other game which will be played simultaneously in the ongoing CHAN tournament.
