Asante Kotoko supporters plan to organize a road trip to Monrovia to support their team in the return leg match of the CAF Champions League preliminary round against Barrack Young Controllers.

The Ghanaian champions will be taking a slim 2-1 advantage into the return encounter against the Liberian club on Sunday.

Kotoko failed to meet the huge expectations of their fans in the first leg match by their inability to capitalize on numerous chances created last weekend in Kumasi.

The supporters however remain confident of their side’s ability to progress in the competition for which reason they plan to make the tiring trip to Monrovia by road to offer their full support.

“We have decided to take supporters to the game in Monrovia,” Kotoko’s Ashanti Regional Circles chairman Obeng Sekyere told Metro FM.

“We will be going by road through Ivory Coast.

“Registration remain ingoing and the number at the end of the process will determine the number of buses we will be taking.

“We plan to leave on Friday night and will arrive in Monrovia by Saturday evening way ahead of the Sunday’s game.”

Kotoko look to make at least the group phase of this year’s continental contest following last season’s disappointment against Algerian club JSM Bejaia.
