Asante Kotoko supporters plan to organize a road trip to Monrovia to support their team in the return leg match of the CAF Champions League preliminary round against Barrack Young Controllers.
The Ghanaian champions will be taking a slim 2-1 advantage into the return encounter against the Liberian club on Sunday.
Kotoko failed to meet the huge expectations of their fans in the first leg match by their inability to capitalize on numerous chances created last weekend in Kumasi.
The supporters however remain confident of their sideââ¬â¢s ability to progress in the competition for which reason they plan to make the tiring trip to Monrovia by road to offer their full support.
ââ¬ÅWe have decided to take supporters to the game in Monrovia,â⬠Kotokoââ¬â¢s Ashanti Regional Circles chairman Obeng Sekyere told Metro FM.
ââ¬ÅWe will be going by road through Ivory Coast.
ââ¬ÅRegistration remain ingoing and the number at the end of the process will determine the number of buses we will be taking.
ââ¬ÅWe plan to leave on Friday night and will arrive in Monrovia by Saturday evening way ahead of the Sundayââ¬â¢s game.ââ¬
Kotoko look to make at least the group phase of this yearââ¬â¢s continental contest following last seasonââ¬â¢s disappointment against Algerian club JSM Bejaia.
