Asante Kotoko's supporters wing has taken a swipe at an emerging new group.

The National Circles Council has been thrown into a quagmire following the decision of one-time management member Ali Maradona to form new body for the fans.

The new group named "The Warriors" claim they want to effectively mobilize the club's huge followers and accused the NCC of doing little to help the club.

But the Council has taken serious exception to the allegations and says the formation of the ‘warriors’ group is unfortunate.

''What they are doing will not help any of us because we're one family and therefore must stick together," NCC spokesman Nana Kwame Dankwah said.

''He (Ali Maradona) was once a management member of this great club and if people had done the same thing to him, would he have been happy.

''This is pure sabotage and posterity will judge all of us one day. If he thinks something is wrong, why don't he come and offer his help rather than creating unnecessary division within the supporters' front

It is widely feared the latest development could affect the psyche of the supporters ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
