Asante Kotoko advanced to the fourth round of the MTN FA Cup after brushing aside First Klass FC 3-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Midfielder Issah Yakubu put the Porcupine Warriors ahead just before the break and new signing Isaac Boakye doubled the lead before being substituted.

His replacement Aminu Mohammed scored Kotoko’s third goal late on.

The match forms part of Kotoko's preparations for their CAF Champions League first qualifying round tie against Barrack Young Controllers of Liberia at the Baba Yara Stadium next Sunday.

Also progressing to the round of 16 are Berekum Chelsea who beat UCC Youngsters 1-0 thanks to Gabriel Ayala’s first goal at the Robert Mensah Stadium.

Medeama strolled to a comfortable 2-0 win over Pure Joy FC at the T&A Park.

Striker Kabiru Imoro opened the scoring on 32 minutes before substitute Emmanuel Adjei scored in the second half.
