Kotoko to appoint Sporting Director

Published on: 29 August 2011

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko have created an office for the appointment of a Sporting Director.

The man to be in-charge of the new portfolio will supervise the club's technical handlers.

A club statement read: "The office of a sporting director has been created to provide oversight over all of the club's technical issues and the position would be filled at the appropriate time." Â

GHANAsoccernet.com understands the Board of Directors will meet later to decide whether to head-hunt or shortlist applicants for the job.

It looks likely that a foreigner will be named for the job.

Meanwhile, Senior Team coach Maxwell Konadu has been appointed acting-Sporting Director.
