Kotoko to pay huge bonuses for league wins

Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko Dr. K.K Sarpong will be meeting the playing body today to settle all outstanding bonuses.

The morel-boosting gesture follows Wednesday's 3-1 home victory over bottom club BA Stars which has now propelled the Porcupine Warriors to 6th on the Glo-League log.

"I will be meeting the playing body today to thank them for the presents they have been giving me in recent games. But most importantly, to settle all outstanding bonuses for the good work done," Dr. Sarpong said.

The Kumasi-based club has managed to turn their season around after a shambolic start, recording three wins in the last four matches, a run of results that is already impressing the boss.

"I must say i am very surprised with the run of results. It shows we made the correct investment and i could only hope it continues suit.

"I must however emphasis Kotoko is not yet a finished product, we are still improving the team and therefore would need the patience and support of the supporters," Dr. Sarpong added.

Meanwhile, Kotoko has decided to part company with the outfit responsible for manning the gates to collect proceeds on behalf of the club.

There have been reports of favouritism at the gates which does not allow for the club to reap the maximum benefits on matchdays.

Dr. Sarpong said: "I witnessed it myself that some people are allowed into the stadium without paying and have decided to sack the company responsible for this task.

"We need each and every piece of cash which belongs to the club and I'll make sure Kotoko gets just that."
