Asante Kotoko veteran Stephen Oduro says he is terrified by news that teammate Rahim Ayew escaped death by the skin of the teeth in an armed robbery attack.

Rahim, the first son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, sustained a gunshot wound on his right arm in the raid on Wednesday.

Oduro who is very close to Rahim says news of the attack sent shivers down his spine.

“We first have to give glory to God first,” Oduro said to GHANASoccernet.com upon hearing the news.

“It could have been any of us and knowing Rahim like I do, I’m sure it was a brutal sight for him.

“We will have to all be careful since this is becoming alarming.”

Rahim joined Kotoko last January on a short-term deal and helped them to win the league and FA Cup double.

He was a member of Ghana’s squads for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup finals.
