BYC arriving with 50-man contingent

Asante Kotoko’s CAF Champions League opponents Barrack Young Controllers will arrive in the country on Wednesday evening ahead of the first leg game on Sunday.

The Liberian club are expected to touch down with a 50-man delegation at the Kotoka International Airport at 18:30 GMT.

The team will be driven to Kumasi where they will check into their hotel.

Kotoko planned on flying the BYC to Kumasi but for their late arrival which coincides with the daily closure of the airport in Kumasi.

The team’s reluctance to pass the night in Accra therefore leaves their hosts no option but to take them to Kumasi by road against CAF regulations.

The team will remain in Kumasi until Sunday when they take on the reigning Ghana Premier League champions in the first leg of the opening preliminary round of this season’s CAF Champions League at the Baba Yara Stadium.
