The umbrella body for Asante Kotoko's supporters, the National Circles Council, is calling for the resignation of the club’s board due to their plummeting form.

Kotoko have suffered three defeats in the opening four matches of the second half of the season.

The fans believe the board is to be blamed for the club’s downward spiral.

"What is the policy direction of the club and who has to serve the core policy of the club and again supervises the management? It is the Board who supervises everybody in the team so if something is going wrong then who do we blame?,” National Circles Council Executive member Yaw Mensah told Joy Sports

“First, they told us the problem was with the players. We worked with them and sacked those players. Again, they said it was the coach, which we supported and helped them sack Didi Dramani based on what they told us. But the problem is still there!

"They told us [David] Duncan is the best man to do the job and still the problem is still there. So it means they have not been able to identify the main problem. For us we think they don’t know what they are doing so we want them to step aside.”

Kotoko are ninth on the league table after 19 match days.
