Asante Kotoko left-full back Baba Abdul Rahman has travelled to Italy to undergo medical at Serie A side Napoli.

Officials of the ambitious Italian side are believed to be key admirer of the youngster who has impressed for the Porcupine Warriors in his first season.

He is expected to be assessed by the medical and technical team with a permanent move likely to be on the cards for the player.

The Arsenal target is also been monitored by Chelsea and German side Monchengladbach.

“Yes it is true he’s left for Napoli for medicals but there is nothing concrete at the moment,” a source close to the player told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We’re looking at the best option for him and so we want to keep the details very close to our chest and will make it public if any deal is concretized.

“They (Napoli) want to assess him first. There are other teams interested in him. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Monchengladbach are looking at the situation.

“We’ll be able to make the details public hopefully by next week.

Rahman is a key member of Ghana's Under-20 side.
