Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah wants to win next season's UEFA Champions League with the Italian champions.

The Ghana international hopes the Bianconeri will go one better than last season's quarter-final berth where they were eliminated by winners Bayern Munich.

Asamoah wants to join the list of Ghanaian players- Abedi Pele, Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien, Ibrahim Tanko and Samuel Osei Kuffour-who have won the prestigious club competition.

The versatile midfielder believes the club's new signings and hardwork in the pre-season will prepare them for the task ahead.

"I think with everything that we've done this off-season, adding new players, increasing our training methods, our expectations are very high," Asamoah told Goal in a phone interview.

"We want to be the top team in the championship of Italy again and we want to do better in the Champions League. I think that's our main objective this season."

Asamoah made 27 appearances and scored two goals as Juventus successfully defended their Serie A title last season.
