Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has backed compatriot Enoch Adu Kofi to earn Black Stars call-up and feels shocked the intelligent midfielder has been ignored for years.

Adu Kofi, who currently plays for Swedish giants Malmo FF, has bemoaned the lack of recognition at the international level despite his consistent performances in Europe.

The former Nordsjaelland enforcer has earned a lot of plaudit for his phenomenal performances and Asamoah, who plays for Italian champions Juventus,  has tipped him for greatness and expects him to earn a national team call-up.

“I know the kind of player he is and I will not be surprised if he gets a call up, but I’m very shocked he has not been called since, after his performance,” Asamoah said

He is a player any coach will love to see him in the National team. He has qualities that are rare in a team and I will not be surprised if he gets a call up anytime soon.”

The ex-Liberty Professionals man is an exciting talent who could be an added piece to the Black Stars if given the chance.
