Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says he feels honoured to be only the second Ghanaian to play for Italian giants Juventus.
The 26-year-old realized his childhood dream in 2012 when he joined the Old Lady from Udinese.
Asamoah becomes only the second Ghanaian to have played for the Italian champions â⬓ following in the footsteps of former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah.
The Ghana international remains a highly popular figure amongst the Juventus fans despite not playing much last season due to a knee injury.
Asamoah admits he continues to enjoy the massive support of the fans despite being only the second Ghanaian to play for the club.
ââ¬ÅI did not expect it [support of the fans], it's amazing,â⬠he said.
ââ¬ÅWhen in training feel the fans who call me, 'Asa, Asa, Asa' is an important thing for me, the fans are kind to me.
ââ¬ÅI did not expect.à The Ghanaian only Appiah played for Juventus.à Now I am the second player from Ghana who plays in Juve.
ââ¬ÅAnd 'the best thing in my life, because Juventus are a very big team, a team that won the Scudetto last year.à I saw a lot of matches and I'm very happy to be here.ââ¬
