Kwadwo Asamoah warns Udinese mates over Champions League spot

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has urged his Udinese teammates not to think of the Champions League just yet and to concentrate on qualifying first.

Udinese re-took fourth position yesterday with a comfortable 2-0 win in Verona against Chievo.

Mauricio Isla gave the Zebrette the lead and it was Asamoah who sealed the victory during the second half.

Next weekend Udinese host newly-crowned champions Milan while Lazio travel to Lecce, who confirmed their safety on Sunday.

Despite their opponents having nothing more to play for, Asamoah still believes the Milan game will be difficult.

He told udinese.it: "W are happy with this victory, but the road is still not complete. There is still the most difficult match, against the champions of Italy."

Lazio defeated Genoa 4-2 on Saturday, meaning the Friuli side are two points ahead of the Romans with one game to play.

The two teams will battle for the Champions League qualifying spot.
