Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Ibrahim Sannie Daara has disclosed that new Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah will have a say in choosing his technical staff.

There have been speculations in the media that, the Ghana FA will be imposing their technical staff on the Kwesi Appiah, who was reappointed as the team’s coach on a two-year contract earlier this month.

According to Sannie Daara, the Ghana FA holds the sole right to do the appointment for the trainer but he will be consulted.

“We’ll do it in consultation with him but after all, we have the appointing authority, we pay the piper and give the direction of the national team, but he’ll have a say in who becomes a member of his backroom staff,” Sannie told Accra-based Class FM.

Ibrahim Tanko, Stephen Appiah, and Richard Kingston have been touted for roles under the former Al Khartoum gaffer.
