Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi is confident the Under-20 team can become Africa and world champions again.
The Black Satellites left Accra on Wednesday night for a training tour of Italy and Spain in preparations for the 2013 African Youth Championship.
Theà Ghanaiansà conquered the continent and the world in 2009 but failed to go past the group phase in the last African championship in 2011.
The Ghana FA president has no doubts the country has enough depth in quality to become champions again.

ââ¬ÅThe African cup is a very important stage and Iââ¬â¢m very optimistic weââ¬â¢ll go out there and make the nation proud.
ââ¬ÅThe first four teams will qualify for the World Cup in Turkey and I believe we want to be there and lift the cup once again.ââ¬
The Black Satellites will play hosts Algeria, Benin and Egypt at the tournament which will run from 16 -30 March.
