Kwesi Nyantakyi faces another FIFA Council election in March next year

Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi will face another FIFA Council election in March next year to retain his slot.

He was elected onto the newly constituted body on Thursday alongside Almamy Kabele Camara of Guinea and will serve for only for five months.

Nyantakyi faces another battle for the 2017 CAF Congress in Addis Ababa on March 17.

The other CAF representatives on the FIFA Council are president Issa Hayatou, Abo Rida Hany (Egypt), Omari Constant (DR Congo), Lydia Nsekra (Burundi) and Terek Bouchamaoui (Tunisia)
