LA Galaxy II coach Mike Muñoz tips Appiah for greatness
Emmanuel Appiah

LA Galaxy II coach Michael Munoz has expressed his belief that new signing Emmanuel Appiah will blossom at the club.

The promising midfielder finalized a two-year deal from Sporting Kansas City after completing a routine medical at a private hospital in Los Angeles.

In an interview with the club's official mouthpiece, Munoz lavished praises on the youngster and says he expects him to hit the ground running.

“Emmanuel has worked really hard in preseason to deserve a contract with our organization. He is going to provide instant experience up the spine of our team,” Muñoz stated after the signing.

“Emmanuel will be a great role model and leader for our group and will be able to help our younger guys understand what it takes to be a professional soccer player. We really feel we have added a solid piece to our project and our team. I look forward to working with Emmanuel on a daily basis.”

He becomes the third Ghanaian at the club after Ema Boateng and Geoffrey Acheampong.

However, he will join the club's second team, Galaxy II, in the United Soccer League (USL) division to continue his development.

The Sampa-born midfielder has previously featured for Colorado Rapids and St. Louis.
