LaLiga Santander Matchday 18 has been and gone, and now the time has come to take a look at the latest LaLiga Fantasy MARCA Best XI, which features players from seven different clubs.
The Player of the Matchday is RCD Espanyol's Mario Hermoso, who racked up 17 points. The young centre-back was a commanding presence for the Catalans away to Malaga CF, helping them keep the Andalusians at bay and come away with a vital victory.
Taking his place between the sticks this time round is CD Leganes custodian Ivan Cuellar (10 points). Cuellar was another man who registered a clean sheet, blunting a dangerous Real Sociedad side in Leganes's 1-0 win.
Slotting in alongside Player of the Matchday Hermoso in defence is Athletic Club's Xabi Etxeita (15), who was on the scoresheet against D. Alaves. They are joined by another Leganes stopper, Ezequiel Muñoz (12), and FC Barcelona stalwart Jordi Alba (13).
Meanwhile, the midfield comprises RC Celta's Daniel Wass (13), who retains his spot in this dream team on the back of bagging a wonder strike against Real Madrid, Valencia CF's Dani Parejo (12) and Leganes schemer Gabriel (13), who both also found the net in their respective games, plus Athletic's Markel Susaeta (also 13).
In attack, a couple of big guns blasted their way into the lineup. Barcelona's Lionel Messi spearheads the charge for the second straight matchday thanks to his 15-point showing and is partnered by Welsh wizard Gareth Bale (12), who notched both of Los Blancos' goals in their draw with Celta at Balaidos.
