Ajax Cape Town new signing, Lawrence Lartey has expressed delight over his move to the Cape Town based club after years of dedicated service to Ghana League champions AshGold.

Lartey, 23, assisted the Obuasi-based side to annex the Ghana Premier Leageu trophy after 19 years but had to say good bye to the Aboakese lads.

Lartey inked a two year deal with South African giants Ajax Cape Town last Monday.

After completing his move to the Cape Town club, the experienced and humble defender has expressed his delight in formalizing his deal with the PSL side.

“It has been good to be part of a club with so many good young players. This is a great club in general and the players here are on a good level,” Lartey told Ghanasoccernet.com

“The facilities are the best I’ve experienced so far. South African football has developed a lot; I can see myself developing into a better player here. This is a good step in my career, I am happy to finally sign for Ajax.”

Lartey was the captain of the U20 side that got to the semi finals of the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey.
