Medeama dropped points for the second successive time after drawing 1-1 at home with Hearts of Oak to lift the Phobians out of the relegation zone.

The leaders took the lead in the 27th minute through Gordon Joseph who shot past goalkeeper Tetteh Luggard.

Midfielder Eric Nyarko did all the damage after rounding up his marker before laying a pass to Joseph.

The Mauve and Yellows went into the break with the lead but Hearts came back strongly in the second half.

Captain Mahatma Otoo restored parity when he netted for the Phobians.

Hearts moved to 12th place on the league table but are one point above the relegation mark.

Medeama still lead the pack with 31 points; two more than second place Berekum Chelsea who have played one game than chasers Aduana and Kotoko.
