Asante Kotoko acting Chief Executive Opoku Nti says the club will have themselves to blame if they fail to win this season’s Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors finished the first half of the season with a seven-point lead at the top of the table.

Their closet challengers are Ashanti Gold and perennial rivals Hearts of Oak.

Kotoko have vowed to maintain their dominance for a third successive title defence.

"There is no way we are losing this league it’s never in our tradition to lead by seven points and allow it to slip through our hand,” Nti told GHANASoccernet.com

"We won’t get complacent but rather look to wrap it up as soon as possible so as to concentrate on our continental commitment.”

The Ghana Premier League is on break and is set to resume after the CHAN tournament in South Africa.

Kotoko have contributed eight players to Ghana’s team.
