League trio rubbish plot to deny AshGold

Three Premier League clubs in the Brong Ahafo region have debunked reports that there is conspiracy to deny AshantiGold this season's league title.

According to reports on a local radio station, Arsenals and Bechem Chelsea want to aid Aduana Stars, also from the region, to topple leaders AshGold on the last day of competition this Wednesday.

Chelsea, at home to AshantiGold in Berekum, are expected to have life difficult for the latter while  Arsenals play it soft at Aduana Stars, who are three points behind.

But all those have been vehemently by officials of the three clubs stating the desire to play according to the rules of the game.

"We know what is at stake and therefore we can't disgrace ourselves. In football we must all play to the rules and we are doing just that. We can't help anybody to win the league," Chelsea Chief Executive Nana Kwame Nketiah said.

If AshGold lose and Aduana win, the latter will be crowned champions in their first year in the Ghanaian top flight by better head-to-head count.
